Date Flexibillity for First Solo Trip?
Hey Everyone!
Planning my first ever solo trip (and first time going abroad) for late August/early September and will be in Western Europe for a total of 10 days not including travel. I am going for a pretty ambitious schedule since my job's vacation time benefit kinda sucks, here is my preliminary itinerary below.
London - 3 Days
Amstredam - 3 Days (Maybe trying to spend a day or part of a day at The Hauge)
Brussels - 1.5 Days
Paris - 2.5 Days (Might try to go out to the countryside to see a castle or two if time permits)
I know it's pretty ambitious for the short amount of time I have, but I'm young and active, so I figure I can power through and make it work. Any thoughts or suggestions for things would be greatly appreciated. I am already planning on museums, walking around/outdoorsy things, and a lot of record stores, but I'd be open to any and all suggestions.
I was wondering a couple of things about this trip that could maybe help me make it more flexible in case I decide I need more time in any particular place on the go.

I hear budget airlines are a time efficient and cheap way to get around. I know they won't be flexible with changes after purchase, but how far in advance should I purchase to get el cheapo flights? Could I likely wait till day of or day before and get similar rates or do they usually fill up?

In your experiences how flexible are hostels with moving dates around? I know cancellations are usually 48-72 hours, but if you postpone a visit and extend another are they usually cool with that?
Thank you guys for all of your input. I really appreciate it!
