Cross Country move
Hi all,
In a few weeks it's looking like I'll be needing to drive a u-haul with auto transporter from Oregon to Alabama. I'd driven the same setup from Maryland to Oregon a few years ago, so I know what to expect in regards to handling, etc. of the vehicles. The previous times I've driven cross-country it has been summer, so weather was never a factor. As I'm looking into doing this during Winter, my route will be affected, which is where you all come in.
Google Maps suggests taking 80E all the way through Nebraska then heading south through Kansas City. I'm familiar with the geography through 80E and that IS NOT a route I'd like to take in February with a u-haul. Not to mention driving over the Cascades in the first place to leave the PNW.
So I was hoping to pick some expert brains on a better route to take. Time is a consideration of some degree and I'd like to keep the trip to 11 days or less. I'm trying to avoid snow as much as possible, to be honest.
Any thoughts on which route to take?
