Comfortable travel pace / distance for 2.5 month Balkans trip with open jaw flight
When: Spring March/April ~ June
Where: USA -> ? -> Istanbul -> USA
Budget: about 10k USD, backpacking / cheap
etc: Never done a trip like this. M19 Was in Budapest for two weeks last year but traveling for awhile is a first for me. Looking for fun great hostels food & leisure :)
Hello, I'm looking to go for a 2-3 month solo trip to the Balkans this spring. Loose itinerary, I wanted to travel roughly around Greece coastline and fly out of Istanbul. Currently looking at origin Zagreb or Split but that's 2000km+. Trying to strike a balance of staying a few days to a week in each place. Major destinations mainly seem to be 20-30 usd by bus. 6-7 major locations at least. estimate maybe 6-8 major cities x a week each is 50 or so days. seems roomy to me but I don't know what I don't know.
Would it be better to shorten the distance? Or is this comfortable. Or do something else entirely? If anyone has any input or suggestions that would be amazing. Thank you.
