Army Seperation New York to California Road Trip
In the middle of next month , I will be leaving the service and making a road trip back to my home state California. Currently, I am stationed an hour north of Syracuse in upstate New York. A quick Google Map of the locations show I am heading through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and then finally to my destination near South Lake Tahoe, California.
I am planning on leaving the 15th to start the road trip and really have no time frame of when I need to be back, and still collecting an army paycheck because I am using the rest of my vacation days help a bit with the situation. I will be traveling with my girlfriend and little pitbull, so we're also trying to find the best situations for dog sitting if we were to try and visit museums, zoos, restaurants etc, or national parks where we could also take the dog.
This is really my first long distance roadtrip, so I am kind new to how to prepare for everything and what exactly I should pack, especially traveling with a dog. I am open to really any ideas, we both love sight seeing and museums, seeing animals, eating all kinds of food, and having a good time. Thanks for reading in advance and I hope to get some useful information !
