Hi everyone:

We are taking a short road trip with a young child, so we're hoping to keep driving to just a few hours a day. We are planning on visiting the Redwoods in Northern California, and also the Bay Area. The drive between those two points is about 6 hours; is there anything in between that you recommend seeing/anywhere you'd recommend an overnight stop, even if it's a bit of a detour, so that we can keep driving to 3-4 hours/day?
