Hi fellow solotravelers!

I'm having a bit of a dilemma. On the 22nd of april, I'm going to start my first solo trip (current planning: Australia, some countries in Asia and the trans siberian express)!

For Australia I have a working holiday visa, which I hope gives me the chance to experience some places in Australia in a different way than just as a tourist (and earn some money of course, since I guess I'll need that).

I'm starting in Melbourne, but since it'll be almost winter when I arrive, I'm actually looking for a warmer place to stay a bit longer while working. So maybe you have some nice suggestions for a nice place (city) to work in, with good chances of meeting people and good weather?
