I'm new to this subreddit so maybe it's been discussed but I have been a solo traveler for about three years now. My employers gives me twenty five vacation days a year and I usually end up going places alone as friends are flaky or wishy washy. Whenever I mention I'm going away to my family they are immediately against it. Usually they say I should be saving money or that I shouldn't go alone. My girlfriend gets about ten days off throughout the year and is also against me going away. It usually starts a big fight. We go away together about once a year typically. Does anyone else have people in their life who are against them traveling or do you receive negative/judgmental comments?
