Would Peru make a good solo trip? 25F
I have the week of the 4th of July off from work, and I wanted to do a western US road trip with my bestie, but she started a new job and doesn’t have the time off.
Then I accidentally started looking at other countries I could potentially spend a week in by myself.
Experienced solo traveler in Europe, Asia, and North/Central America, but never been to South America. Would Peru make a good solo trip? The biggest thing I want to do is Machu Picchu. I assume that’s fine alone (or I would meet people) or I could hire a guide? I do know Spanish as well.
I’m also quitting my job in August to move to Spain for two years, so I’m trying to decide if I should just save my money (but a big part of me feels like I would never “regret” going to Peru when I was 25).
Let me know what you think! Don’t know much about Peru so all comments are appreciated. Especially from women.
