Hello! Something that is really important to me is sustainability and responsible travel. I am backpacking SEA solo for a few months this summer and I have read that recycling is basically non exist in some of the countries I will be visiting and littering is very common.

I want to leave the smallest footprint possible during my travels therefore I am looking into water sterilization devices or tablets that I can use instead of purchasing plastic water bottles. Does anyone have any experience with sterilizing their own water? Is this a good idea? Any products you recommend? Do you have any more tips on how to be a more environmentally friendly solo traveler? Thank you!
