Solo Female Traveler looking for art-related destinations
My apologies in advance for this is my first Reddit post.
I am a second-year student at a small university in New England. I am a double major in Psychology and Studio Arts (with a concentration in painting). The Art and Art History department has an annual Art Travel Scholarship for up to $1,000 that I want to take advantage of. This scholarship is extremely undervalued and hardly gets the attention it deserves.
I will already be abroad in Florence Italy for a full academic year (leaving me with just over a month between the semesters to travel anywhere). I have been to Rome before to work as an au pair for a month and know basic Italian. I am looking for recommendations of museums, public artwork, or literally anything that is in line with my interest. I am willing to travel anywhere in central or Eastern Europe as long as it fits the budget. I will be 20/21 at the time and while I have traveled before I have never been a solo traveler for such an extended period of time.
My style is very Renaissance-esq as I am in love with the human form and portraiture. I will have to present my research when I return from my year abroad so ideally, I need things I can either take pictures of or sketch studies of.
I would really appreciate any suggestions!
