I'm flying out of NYC on June 11th to Europe. I'm not sure where I want to go, and need some recommendations.

I live in Orlando, but will be flying one-way out of NYC after visiting some relatives. I can't decide where I want to go. I have to be in Cologne, Germany on either the 19th or the 20th. I was thinking about going up to Reykjavik, then flying to Amsterdam on the 15th. 3 days in each city before going to Cologne.

Looking at plane ticket prices, I want to know what city will give me the most bang for my buck. I'm also considering:

Bergen, Norway

Oslo, Norway

Zurich, Switzerland

Stockholm, Sweden

I've been to Europe before, and I want to go to a country in Western Europe that I haven't been to yet. The countries I haven't been to are:

The Netherlands

Portugal

Switzerland

Norway

Sweden

Denmark

I'm open to anywhere else, and I don't have to fly into Iceland either. Please share any suggestions or recommendations as to where to go. I want to go to two countries before I go to Germany.

I am a big fan of mountains, being able to see the top of a city, drinking beer, festivals, and generally everything else stereotypical backpackers like.
