4 month solo travel to vietnam
Hello there:), A little bit about myself first, I'm 19 years old, female and doing kind of a gap year right now before I will start University in October next year. I've been solo traveling this summer for about 6 weeks, started in Portugal,then southspain and marocco. I don't really have a plan about my trip and I actually want it to stay that way, but I still think this forum is a pretty neat way to get some insight to people who have already been there, so just a few basic questions:
How is camping in Vietnam? And also what's the deal with wild camping? I camped all through the Europe part of the trip, wild and in parks and really enjoy it. But I didn't feel safe to do it marocco, so I'm thinking about leaving the tent at home, bc of the extra weight
Then also the deal with transportation. I'm used to hitchhiking while travelling, and don't really like travel via bus because I think you automatically tend to stick to the more touristy parts. So I thought about maybe just going by bike, since I don't have a driver's license. Any insight about travelling via bicycle would be really nice, as I really can't imagine what would await me. I think that's basically it. Any general tips and go-to things are always welcome!
