Hey folks,

I'll be travelling to Thailand for 9-10 days in mid-November. I will be landing in Bangkok and needed help with my itinerary.

My aims are to meet new people, sight-see and party. That's why I am planning to stay a couple of days at a social hostel in Bangkok. After that, I'm a little confused.

I want to fly out to one of the Islands (Phangan, Phi Phi, Phuket). However, I have heard Phuket, even though it's the party capital, is a tourist trap and Phangan is not great unless I go to the full-moon or half-moon parties. Other options like Krabi are beautiful but might be a little light on the party scene so I am unsure about them.

So which island is the best for a 5-6 night stay where I can meet people, party and do some activities like snorkeling, diving etc?
