Reddit led my first solo travel experience.
I just took my first solo trip a few weeks ago to Austin, Texas. I know it's not exotic, but I'd been wanting to go for a while and it was the first trip where I could truly do whatever I felt like doing (which included a lot of good coffee and food). Almost every place I went was recommended by r/Austin, and it didn't disappoint! The city was energetic, weird, busy, and tons of fun. As an Ohioan, visiting the south is always a treat for me.
I don't have an expensive camera, or weeks of vacation time. What I do have is a love for travel and local cuisine. I'll definitely be traveling there again, because I didn't even scratch the surface my first time around!
