Just signed on and paid for my HelpX account. Do you have any tips for a first time traveler via this kind of platform?
Hey all!
I have to say, I'm pretty psyched. I have traveled as a tourist before and stayed in budget accommodations, but I decided that I wanted to travel for at least 6 months next year and that this was the best way for me to do so :)
I was debating on whether to use HelpX or worldpackers, but decided to join HelpX first since it's much cheaper. If it doesn't work out here, I will then sign on to worldpackers :)
I am looking to travel and work for accommodation in South Korea and Japan.
I haven't messaged any hosts. Do you have any tips on what to say to hosts? If we do get to talking, could you tell me anything that I should remember to ask or remember to take note of? Do you have any hosts you'd want to recommend in the two countries? What was your experience?
For people who have used similar platforms or the same ones, will there be any special visas needed for Jp and S.Kor?
