Cancelling a trip to Georgia
My fiancee has a trip planned to Savannah for this weekend, but there is the state of emergency and most likely a evacuation order for the weekend due to Hurricane Irma. She has a flight out Friday afternoon and at this point, United won't cancel without paying the $200 fee. My thought was to wait to cancel until tomorrow when United extends the waived fee to Georgia (hopefully). Will United allow her to cancel and get a full refund if this works out or will she just get United credit? Also, if she misses the flight because she does not want to pay the cancellation fee, will she have to pay anything extra besides the price of the ticket?
