[Advice Request] Last minute change of plans going to Paris and Nice for 8 days.

So we had been planning a honeymoon to the Caribbean but unfortunately due to the recent hurricanes that is no longer an option. I was able to change it all up and we are going to Paris and Nice for 8 days in mid October instead. I was able to book a couple nice airbnb's. We are staying near the Louvre in Paris and on the Promenade fed Anglais in Nice. I am looking for advice on things to do and see in these areas. Mostly looking to relax and take in the sights. We are not sure on Museums as we don't want to just stand in lines. We would rather wander and see what we find. Also where is the best beach near Nice?
