South America possible without Spanish
I don't want to do the most touristy stuff, but from what I hear, South America is more difficult without knowing some Spanish. Would be going by myself as a 29 y/o male for a solo trip for 2 weeks. Aiming for Peru, Columbia, Chile.
Hoping to do hostels and hiking and landscape sigh seeing. Also, partying.
Isn't not knowing the local language limiting in most countries that don't speak your native language, or English? Therefore, I'm not sure why I keep hearing this for Latin America specifically.
