Need help planning a trip to Alaska!
Fellow redditors, i am planning a trip to Fairbanks (1 night), Denali National Park (2 nights) and Chena Hot Springs (1 night) over this labor day. Any Alaska lovers out there who could point out a few must-dos in these areas? I'm also willing to make minor changes in the itinerary if there's something else in the area that that you recommend. We are fairly outdoorsy and it is our first trip to the area. I definitely want to do the narrated bus tour in DNP as i feel it is worth the time and money for beginners. To shoot a few more specific questions:

Is the time allocated properly among the three places? (yes, it is short for AK, but that's all i could take off)

Any particular hiking trails in DNP that you advise? I'm not really too much into exploring the wilderness by myself; would die of a heart failure if i see so much as a big rabbit.

Apart from the tours on the river, any favorites in Fairbanks? Not too much into art or architecture either, but i could surely take on some history! Looking to stay there for the day i reach before moving on to the wilderness.

Chena hot springs resort : worth it? Sounds really cool but is it worth the money or should i visit another spot/stay at another place/stay in another city instead?

Anything else you could help a newbie with. Really have no idea about the kind of things to expect in Alaska, so these might not be the most intelligent questions you read all day.
