Need advice on solo traveling to India, SE Asia, and japan
hello everyone, this is my first backpacking trip out of the country and first time traveling alone in general. I'll be traveling from January 2018 to july. To give an idea of what i want and what im working with, I have about 7-8k USD of spending money and want to stay in that side of the world for about 6 months minimum. I dont really have a return date as i dont have much to return to so i can stay as long as i want as long as i can make my money last. Im not a person that needs nice things whatsoever and can get by sleeping in cars and on the floor. my plan was to fly into south india, probably mumbai and work my way up north and travel west to Varanasi, then from there decide if i should stay in india or go to nepal and work my way into myanmar. the rest of my stay will be in SE Asia and from Vietnam Fly to japan. I Originally wanted to visit S. Korea but i dont know if im being overly ambitious with my budget. I was looking to do workaway and WWOOFing to cover stay in places but only where i want to explore for an extended period of time. My main question would be is this too much on this budget? Any advice to a first time backpacker would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
