Hospitalized on last night's Norwegian's flight
Last night on Norwegian’s flight from NYC to Paris, I was taken off the plane and hospitalized due to the inhumane conditions that were created on board the idle plane, delayed on the runway for 3 hours. Waking up in the E.R. without any of my possessions, I contacted Norwegian airlines and they were of no help. In fact they even refused to provide me with a refund, and even a rebooking. I urge everyone to avoid booking Norwegian if you want to arrive from point A to point B safely.
It started with everyone sitting on the plane for three hours on the runway, without any power to fuel the Air Conditioning on board, the temperatures rose above 85 degrees in the cabin, there was no air to breathe, people began fighting and screaming to be let off board - to which the flight attendants replied that it wasn’t possible, and that the issues with the power would be resolved soon. In the process, I began to feel very sick; light headed, started vomiting, and in the end having a heat stroke that left me unconscious.
The flight was already full of angry people; standing in the isles fanning themselves with pamphlets, people yelling and screaming at the flight attendants. People were crowding in service areas to get a tiny cup of water, and cramming into the bathrooms to stay cool. My unconscious body had to be dragged through the packed aisles, practically naked because it was too hot to even wear clothes, while everyone cried for help.
Even the onboard staff was demoralizing, as they were in the back of the plane mocking passengers who were complaining about the conditions on the plane. I overheard one of them say that if the passengers leave the plane and the flight is cancelled, they don’t get paid for their travel. Hence, they were selfishly convincing the passengers to remain on board.
If you were a passenger on this flight, please reach out to me. If you have any more information on the incident, or any videos / photos of the scenario on the plane, I would like to see them. I plan on sharing the documentation with the news and social media, creating a visible story that will finally get some attention from Norwegian and legal agencies. Be safe out there everyone, thank you.
Also, if you have an advice on how I should proceed legally, please let me know.
TL;DR - woke up in the hospital after fainting on board Norweigian's delayed flight that sat idle on the runway for 3 hours, no belongings, nothing. They refuse to refund / rebook me.
