First time visiting Europe
As the title says, I'm planning a visit to London sometime in the next month. I've been reading a lot about what is needed to be allowed in including a passport.
I am a U.S citizen and my passport is valid for another few years so that is checked off the list.
One website stated that when I reach London, I'll be asked for proof that I won't be staying longer than 6 months? Another one stated that they'll ask for proof that I'll be able to fund myself for the trip?
If any of this is true, can anyone tell me exactly how to prove any of this including the latter? I'll be staying with a friend (who actually lives there) and she's the one that will be helping me out with the funds more than I will... I want to make sure everything goes well because this will be my first time traveling outside of the country on my own.
I am 21 years old and do have my own credit card and debit card, hoping showing them those 2 things will cover the "fund myself in the trip
Any responses would be highly appreciated.
