First time solo, have time off in semptember, thinking about a trip to Iceland
23, male. I have a good 9 days off work, I've never traveled, I figure this is my best chance so I'm thinking of booking a trip from Toronto to Iceland 9/9 - 9/17. Wow Air has a roundtrip for about $400-450. I plan on packing light to avoid the bag fees and just staying in the hostels to save money and meet people. Interested in some cool sights, good food and nightlife. Worried I won't get to see much because I won't have a vehicle, should I rent one? Just looking for tips on what I can expect, any must-dos, things to avoid?
edit: now considering just a 3-4 day stopover in iceland, then the rest in amsterdam.. the 3-4 days in iceland i'll take group tours to avoid car rentals, which look to be crazy expensive, the flight ticket looks to come out to about 600-700 total...
