Taking a trip from Connecticut to Florida, what are the best places to see and stay along the way?
My brother and I are both in our early 30's and are planning a trip from Connecticut where we are both from to gainsville, florida. We plan on going to Jacksonville flordia and georgia after we get to gainsville to check out different places.
Does anyone know any good places in georgia that are good destinations for a single person as well besides altanta? We both are single and would like to meet some single girls even though this is not a major intention of this destination; it is to see what else is out there.
Many relatives are pushing from us to get out of Connecticut; the winters of ct and the taxes are absolutely horrible. I am just done with the North. I don't want to bring politics into this but I am a republican and a lot of people in connecticut don't like if your views differ from their political views.
Along the way from connecticut to florida, what places are good to stay along the way in hotels, for instance would ashville, north caroline be a good first stop or virigina? Next, Georgia? Lastly, the destination of flordia which is gainsville.
I am trying to plan this right now and am about to start pulling out my hair. I can only be gone for about 10-12 days total and would need to drive back up to CT before eventually moving to the south by the end of next year. Sorry if I was all over the place. Please chime in. Thank you.
