Planning a trip for my boyfriends 21st, I need advice.
Hi everyone! My boyfriends 21st birthday on November 20th and we have thanksgiving break November 23rd-28th.
I am planning on going the 23rd-25th or 24th-26th. I know this isn’t the greatest time to travel, but him and I like to be competitive with our birthday presents, like last year he brought me sky diving so I have to top him this year.
I’ve looked on hopper, and I see that the cheapest tickets are $243 round trip per person = about $500 for plane tickets
Then I was planning on a Airbnb in Portland, about $211 each night so around $500 for the Airbnb. The airbnb is really important because it’s literally everything he would want. It’s a treehouse and I’m SO excited for it.
Since he is 21, we have to get a rental car for more money, so the car is about $250 to rent for the three days too.
So in total I would be spending $1250 on the spot, I know this is A LOT. So I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on how to make this trip cheaper, and for anyone who has any knowledge on what to do in Oregon please send me recommendations.
I’m hoping he will help me cover gas and pay for his own food and things we might do while we are there. We’re planning on living in this area when we are done with school, since it’s so beautiful. I would like to spend most of our time in nature. If anyone has any advice it is appreciated. 🥰
