I’m planning a trip to Kellogg ID around Christmas and I am wondering what sort of winter weather I should be expecting.

My route is going to be I-5 up to Portland, then east on I-84 I’ve to the tri cities area, then up 395 to Spokane, then east to Kellogg. I’ve driven to Spokane before, but that was years ago and in the summer. Based on what I can find, it looks like I might expect some winter weather starting somewhere on 395 north of tri cities.

Is that about right? Any major passes or other tricky areas I should be looking at ahead of time?
