6 weeks parental leave and enough $ in the bank - Need help planning
My wife, our infant (3 months) and I want to use our time off to do a road trip that covers the following in no particular order.
We are looking for a comfortable experience but also not extravagant.
Start and Return point = Los Angeles, CA
- Yosemite NP
- Seattle
- Death Valley NP
- Yellowstone NP
- Grand Canyon NP
- Zion NP
- Vegas
We have the following questions (for now) ?
-
Should we take an RV (for 3) and sleep in camp-sites vs our car and then sleep in nearby cities in airbnb ? What would be cheaper and/or a better experience ? How much do RV campsites cost ?
-
If we go the RV route, would we be able to return the RV sooner than our return date (in case of emergency or being done with it) ?
-
Is it cheaper to cook food in the RV vs dine out ?
-
What's the best Route planning app ?
Some context: I have done a YOLO cross country (almost) roadtrip alone in my car few years ago finding airbnbs as I go but never with family.
Looking forward to hearing from you guys. We could leave as soon as next 2 weeks ?
