Suggestions for a week long road trip from San Francisco to redwood national park
Hey folks!
In July my fiancée and I will be driving from San Francisco to the redwoods in Northern California! We will have a week to get up there and back. We’re planning on stopping at Redwood National Park and then continuing north to Prarie Creek, Jedidiah, and Orick. My fiancée has been to these places before but has never driven from San Francisco. We are probably going to take the 101 since the coastal road adds so much time but if there is a way to hop off the main road for a bit and then get back on to see something awesome we would definitely do that.
Does anyone have any must see spots along the way? We will probably spend a night halfway through the drive to explore more of the areas we pass through. We are big nature lovers and the only reason we would spend much time in a city or town is for food and lodging.
