Hi. I'm taking a solo roadtrip from Chicago to LA in a few weeks and I'm overwhelmed trying to plan the kind of route I want. I really want to take in a good amount of ~ natures majesty ~ and do a bit of car camping. I'm used to utilitarian time crunch roadtrips only and I definitely don't want that this time- this is a head clearing kind of trip. I'd also like to avoid as much of the dreaded endless boring stretches if/ when possible.

So far I'm looking at taking the northern rte through Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah because I've never been through those areas before, but that's as far as I've gotten. Lol.

Any recommendations or advice is so appreciated.
