East coast road trip suggestions
Despite the fact that almost every single post on this sub asking a question has been downvoted to 0 karma, I'm going to ask one anyways.
My partner and I have always talked about doing a road trip from where we live in the Boston area to someplace of interest. Given that I'll be starting a job in a couple months and traveling outside of the country isn't really feasible at the moment, we thought this may be the perfect time for a road trip. A few of the ideas we floated around were to some of the national parks (Grand Canyon, Yosemite, etc), or one down along the east coast (NOLA), but we're having a hard time figuring out what is feasible to do with 2-3 weeks off and given all the restrictions each state has.
For those of you who have done a road trip from the east coast, either during or before pandemic times, where would be your top suggestion? Any place really surprise you with how much nicer or less nice it was than you expected? Any just overall tips or suggestions? Thanks!
