Considering a 3 week Round Trip MN-CO-NV-AZ-KC-MN, any advice/suggestions?
I have been wanting to travel out west and visit the National Parks. I was planning on flying into Vegas and renting a car to visit Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon. But thinking about it more, I am considering instead to drive out west. This would give me more flexibility and allow me to visit more places. My itinerary would look like the following.
Start: Minneapolis, MN
Stop 1: Mt, Rushmore
Stop 2: Colorado (Denver, Grand Junction): stay for 3-4 days.
Stop 3: Utah (Canyonlands & Zion National Park) 4-5 days
Stop 4: Vegas (3 days)
Stop 5: Arizona (Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Phoenix) : 4-5 days
Stop 6: New Mexico (Albuquerque) / Denver (Colorado Springs) 1-2 days
Stop 7: Kansas (Kansas City) 2-3 day
Stop 8: Minneapolis, MN
Has anyone done something similar? Do you think this is too much? Too fast?
I would be driving 2002 Camry, so any suggestions road tripping with an old car would help too.
I am open to ideas. Thanks in advance.
