Am I crazy for planning on tow my car on a national park road trip out west?
So, later in the summer I'm moving to Seattle from Michigan, and I'd like to make a road trip out of it where I can visit some National Parks. The rub is that I'm planning to bring two cars - driving my Colorado and using it to tow an "old" Mitsubishi Evo which is sort of my project car (I don't have anything else to do with it and I'm not going to sell it). At the very least it'll make things interesting and I get some extra storage space for things I'm bringing, since the Colorado isn't all that big.
I'm planning on hitting Badlands, Yellowstone, and Glacier before finishing off in Seattle. In between Michigan and Badlands, I'm probably going to stop in Minneapolis to see the city, since I've never been (I would love recommendations for places between Michigan and Badlands).
Does this seem like an insane plan? Is it doable, in that will I have any issues trying to get into/seeing these national parks with a car in tow? I figure people bring camper trailers, so maybe it's not so outlandish, but just looking for any thoughts or tips.
