What's the nicest highway in the USA?
Only traveling I've done in the USA is on the east coast but on a north-south axis never going west or anything. Upstate NY and New England have some of the nicest mountains and scenery I've ever seen in my life or even driving down the mountains on the 81 in NY,PA and VA is pretty nice even the 77 is crazy in altitude.
I've heard traveling cross country for example on the 70 or 80 is nice once you hit the Rockies, but isn't it true the prairies are extremely boring. I really like mountains and tend to hate flat land. I don't know if taking the 10 or 40 further South would be any nicer, as it would be a desert for most of the time, which I've always wanted to see, but I'd rather see the Rockies further up instead of a desert for 2 days. The 10 and 40 are nice in the southeast (TN/FL/AL/LA/TX/OK) but when you hit the desert around western Texas/Oklahoma and Arizona and stuff I heard it gets really boring.
