Road trip from Coeur d'alene, ID to Vancouver
My wife and I are traveling from Coeur d'alene, ID (Sandpoint, to be specific) to Vancouver, BC as part of a month-long road trip we are doing in July. We're starting in the Bay Area and looping up through Reno, Boise, CDA, Sandpoint, Vancouver, Seattle, OR Coast, Bend, OR, and back home.
Were really stuck on the best route from Sandpoint, ID to Vancouver. The most efficient way according to Mr. Google is through Seattle but we plan to hit Seattle after Vancouver and are having a hard time accepting the backtrack.
Does anyone have any recommendations if we were to go the more northern route through Canada? Or any experience on this route? Is it total misery? We're happy to break up the 9-hour drive by staying a night or two in a Canadian town but we just aren't finding anything solid that's not totally out of the way.
Would love suggestions or insight if there are any!
