NYC to Yellowstone Road Trip, Seeking Advice

This would be my first major road trip, and I'm very unfamiliar with the areas I'm driving to. I did my best to find some decent locations along the way, but I'd appreciate some suggestions for what to add/remove.

For Lincoln, I was thinking of seeing the Sunken Gardens. For St. Louis, I don't have any current plans except the arches and Sioux Falls just looked pretty in pictures. I have no current plan for Buffalo except to rest, and La Crosse just looked like a nice place to stop and see the Mississippi.

The ones I'm confident on: Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, Grand Teton

Somewhat confident: Sioux Falls, St. Louis, Lincoln.

The rest were just decent locations I found along the way. I tried to keep the driving time capped at 7 hours per day (except the last leg) and avoided increasing the total travel time when adding locations.

This trip would be from mid-May to early June
