London ON to Sleeping Giant, how to get back?

Planning an all car camping trip over 8-10 days from London Ontario to Sleeping Giant provincial park (Thunder Bay), our route there will be via Grundy lake provincial park and René Brunelle provincial park. Our plan is to stay at 4-6 different parks total, and space the driving out by a day or two.

I’m wondering what the best route back would be. I’m thinking Lake Superior provincial park would be a good stop, but after that I’m a bit lost, is going south via Manitoulin Island a feasible route? Or am I better off going around Georgian bay?

Would love to hear your thoughts about how best to get back, and also any tips you have about driving in northern Ontario, or any hidden gems along the way! Anything you have I’m all ears!
