From new jersey to oklahoma. What's everything I need to know.
So long story short im going to be staying with a girlfriend and her family for a couple months before I join the military Im going to be going in about 4 months. Want to save as much money as possible on the teip while also making it as smooth and pain free as possible. The most ive really driven is anout 3-4 hours straight, my vehicle is satisfactory at best, and ive never gotten past PA ,DE, and pretty much all the states surrounding new jersey. I was planing to take the no toll route because it seemed easier and my jersey boy self is accustomed to ezpass. Now im aware ezpass is acceptable in the tristate area so ill have a little time of bliss and also im aware that sometimes toll free isn't always the cheapest route nor the safest. Im going to be carrying alot of personal possessions and allot of cash and assets in a vehicle that in a way I know can make it still makes me worry whenever roads arent in peak condition. Basically what im asking is what is the best route, highways, rest stops, points of interest, and places overall that I can plan on my route to make the trip as simple as possible. Some things to note are u really dont plan on stoping in citys unless absolutely nessasaey Ex ( fill up a full tank outside the city limits in a suburb, blow through on whatever freeway google takes me and recouped and rest once im past the urban centers) also I plan to sleep in my car at either walmarts or anywhere I deem to be safe ( I plan to sleep in short spurts during the day and keep moving at night) basically any advice anyone would be willing to give weather its tips for the entire route, Keeping comfortable alert in my vehicle Or the best route overall to take any advice would be more than appreciated. Im a young and dumb teen with a hand me down car, a couple thousand in savings, and a dream to make my own path and see the world. While this will be one of the biggest mental and physical journeys I've ever been on im exited for every step of the way. I just want it to be as pain free and safe as possible.
