California to Texas
Moving from Northern California to Fort Worth, Texas. My wife and I will be taking driving two separate vehicles. We think we can do it in 2-3 days.
We’re packing everything into our vehicles and don’t feel comfortable leaving our stuff overnight if we stayed at a hotel. So, we decided to sleep in our vehicles. Also, due to the pandemic, we would prefer to just avoid any unnecessary stops, except to get gas and use restrooms.
Where should we stop along the way that’s safe and wouldn’t have issues with sleeping in the vehicle? If you’ve personally done this drive or a similar one, please share any information you feel could be helpful (e.g. length of drive per day, stops along the way, anything to watch out for, etc.)
We’ll be taking this journey at the end of this month. Since it’s basically spring, should we expect any weather related road conditions we should be concerned with while driving through multiple states?
