Work from Vacation- Gulf Coast
Hey everyone,
I’m hoping to take advantage of my company’s work from home situation and looking for any tips. I’m based in Philadelphia , and would like to stay within a 1 hour time difference.
That said, I was thinking it would be cool to travel around the Gulf Coast. Does anyone have any insight/recommendations? I figured I’d drive from Philly through Appalachia- West Virginia, Tennessee, etc.. on my way to Texas. (Austin or Houston). My plan would be to do at least 4 weeks in Texas as a starting point, and then work my way east.
I have plenty of time, I’m not due back into the office until Labor Day. However, idk I want to be gone that long. But maybe I’ll enjoy it enough that I’ll stay longer.
I’m pretty open to anything, would like to see the Mississippi River, and New Orleans seems fun. But I’m also traveling solo, so I’m not sure if that’s the place for a guy traveling alone.
During the week I’ll be pretty much stuck on calls, etc.. but on weekends I’d be interested in sightseeing/hiking, nightlife, food, history.
Any insight would be great! Thanks
