NYC > Yellowstone
Looking to take advantage of my WFH situation/gas being cheap to do a long road trip to Yellowstone. I haven't been to the park since I was a kid and it's been my dream to go back. My idea is to rent a van or a small RV and drive there with my SO and my dog.
I would be unfortunately doing ALL of the driving, and I want to avoid driving at night because I prefer the scenery and, more importantly, I am a bit worried I can fall asleep driving at night as it's almost happened to me before and the lull of a long interstate for hours just is not worth the risk if biologically I'm wired to snooze at the wheel.
I'm really in no rush.. the journey is more important than the destination and being in the city for so long, staying in the middle of nowhere in the RV or at a crappy motel is really appealing. That being said, if I don't hustle a bit I'll never get there and back!
How many days do you think this drive will realistically take as a solo driver?
