NJ to Cali
Me and a few friends are looking to do a road trip from NJ to California next summer. We really want to hit up the northern states, make it to Washington, and then down the coast all the way to San Diego. We then want to go toward Arizona and take the Midwest home to NJ. Can anyone give me some suggestions on whether or not 3 weeks would be a doable timeframe for this? Also some suggestions on easy ways to save money on this trip? Our hope is that, since most of our focus is on spending time in west coast spots, we can knock out most of the driving in the beginning and end of our trip. NJ to Wyoming, as well as Colorado back to NJ will be pretty much straight shots for us, with little interest in stopping for sightseeing in those parts of the trip. Here are some major spots (which I tried to put in order of first to last) that we would like to check out, but of course we can shave a few off if necessary: Yellowstone, Glacier National Park, Seattle, Mt. Rainier, Olympic National Park, Portland, Redwood Forest, San Fransisco, Yosemite, LA, San Diego, Grand Canyon, Denver... Any info, suggestions, or past experience would be extremely appreciated! :)
