Looking for advice for a Canada road trip from Toronto to BC
Hi everyone!
Myself and two friends are thinking about doing a roadtrip this summer but we don't really know where to start and would love it if you could refer us to any helpful websites, resources, posts or even just provide us some advice if you have it.
Because of COVID we all will be able to work remotely and believe we'd be able to spend at least 3 weeks (possibly more and definitely flexible depending on what's feasible). We all live throughout Ontario and would likely start the trip from either Toronto or Ottawa. Ideally, we'd like to make it all the way to BC, stopping at national parks along the way. We're all big nature buffs and are more interested in seeing the scenery and getting in some quality camping and hiking, rather than spend time in big cities. I also have some friends and family in Alberta who I'd like to visit. A few main questions we have:
Transportation: We have one car we could use, but it's unfortunately a stick shift and only one of us knows how to drive it. We are considering possibly renting an RV if it's not too expensive, but are unsure on the logistics of it. The other main consideration is whether we do a round trip or find a way of transport that allows us to leave (or sell) our transport in BC and simply fly home. Is this something that would be at all feasible?
Timing: Depending on what we do transport wise, we're wondering whether 3 weeks is a long enough time to be able to still see everything we want to see and not spend the whole trip driving. Has anyone done a similar trip and would be able to give us a rough idea of how much time to budget?
Sorry for the super long post and thank you in advance for any tips you can provide!
