Suggestion for cross country road trip with the most striking roads
Hello folks. I am a physician driving across the country from east to west to work in a hotspot (starting in May). My initial plan was to hit Badlands, Windcave, Yellowstone and Grand Teton NPs. But looks like they are closed and I am not sure if they'll re-open by the time I make the drive.
Redditors, do you have any recommendation for a cross-country road-trip that would involve the most beautiful road without actually hitting any parks? I have about 8 days to make the drive but I am definitely not against taking some detours, even on non-high ways to see the best sights.
For more references, I've already did this drive twice. I did drive through both the fastest route (mostly highway 80 and highway 50 through parts of it) and the route 66 through southern US.
