Road trip advice from FL to AZ and back!
I jokingly keep telling my family I’m going to drive to the Grand Canyon when the stay at home orders are lifted and the world returns to some semblance of normal life. As the weeks drag on, I actually want to see how realistically I could pull it off and not just let this be a pipe dream. I’m in my early 20s, recent college grad, and I was recently laid off due to the coronavirus, so I am STRUGGLING to find inspiration and meaning in my life. I’m hoping a crazy adventure would bring me out of my slump and help ground me.
So what I need help with....is this a good idea? How long should I plan it to take roundtrip? How much cash should I set aside? Where should I stop along the way (likely tent camping for extra adventure)? Should I take the opportunity to see nearby parks like Joshua Tree? I’ve road-tripped from Florida to both Chicago and Dallas, so I know my miles per day limit and am plenty experienced with interstate/highway travel, but I’ve never pulled off anything this grand scale. I don’t want to underestimate anything so any help would be highly appreciated!!!
