MUST-SEES OF THE USA?
I hope this kind of question is allowed:
In less than 2 years (December 2021), I'll be moving away from the USA permanently and probably won't be back to visit for at least a decade or two.
I live in Washington state, and will be working fulltime all the way up until Sept 2021. At that point we will go on a 4 week road trip around the usa to the east coast and spend Thanksgiving with our families before leaving.
In between that time, we hope to go on smaller weekend and weeklong trips a few times to explore our area and the states neighboring ours.
We have seen very little because we haven't really been able to travel before this but we grew up in NJ, have seen NYC and NY state extensively, and don't need to do Florida again. We were about to start travelling extensively when we found out we had to leave the USA in less than 2 years.
So, what are the most important things for someone to see here, the uniquely American spots, the MUST-SEES of the US of A?
Also our travel style is very food focused (we are specifically looking for best bbq), best of nature (and the least amount of camping necessary), interesting cities, very little history, and epic scenic drives.
Hopefully I can post something like this here. Please let me know if I can't. Thanks!
