I’m forced to travel from LA to Minneapolis by car during COVID. Looking for advice.
Long story short, I got laid off from work because of COVID, and found my wife was cheating on me. Moving from LA to Minneapolis to stay with family for a while.
I obviously want to avoid contaminating myself, my parents, or others. What steps can I take to be as safe as possible while I travel? What steps should I take when I get to Minnesota to make sure if I did pick it up to avoid giving it to my parents?
Are there any free camping spots that I can pitch a tent along the way? Any recommendations to keep my possessions safe in my car overnight? Are rest areas still open? Are hotels essential businesses? Can they be trusted for safety and sanitation?
I’m pretty sure the National Parks are closed at the moment, right? Does anyone know of routes that may be a little slower, but are through scenic areas? I could use some green space therapy...
Thank you for your help.
