Would like to get some advice on our europe-roadtrip
First of all: Hello!
So, two friends and I have been planning to do a roadtrip through europe as soon as we're finished with school for two years now. This will be in late march, and our roadtrip in mid may. We planned to cover western europe (excluding spain) within four to six weeks via this route, with stops in most major cities which we will explore with public transport.
Our mode of transportation will most likely be one of our cars, a Mercedes C180, with either a roof-tent or a normal one. We might be able to get a passenger VW T4 from relatives, but it's not in a very good condition although it has a valid main inspection(TÜV).
For accomodation, we are planning with camping sites and occasionally a hostel. Camping sites would cost us about 30€ per night on average, while hostels will be at least 90€. We hope to be able to cook for ourselves on a camping stove and get around with 100€ per month per person of food.
Our total cost with plenty of margin adds up to 1500€ per person
Now for my questions: We are worried that our time plan might be too tight. We have once made a very detailed plan on when we want to be where and how long we will stay, and it all worked out. What are your experiences/recommendations on this?
Is it possible to fit three dudes into a normal car with enough space for the stuff we need?
Are there special things you can recommend to take with us that one won't think of without experience? Or any "dangers", like laws or local things?
