Ideas for Rocky Mountain Range and Pacific NW this summer
Hi there. I'm planning a solo road trip for the summer. Thinking of 6-7 weeks, mostly national parks. To keep costs down, I'm planning to camp 80% of the time. Need to know if my itinerary is realistic for my time frames and if there are any suggestions for campgrounds/specific sites in the parks. I'm trying to avoid the crowds when I can even though I'm going to some of the most popular parks at the most visited time of year...
- Rocky Mtn NP (been here before) - 2 nights
- Grand Teton NP - 4 nights
- Yellowstone NP - 2 nights
- Glacier NP - 6 nights -- Canadian Rockies (2 weeks?)
- Banff/Kootenay/Lake Louise - 6 nights total
- Yoho - 1 night
- Icefields Pkwy - 1 or 2 nights
- Jasper - 4 nights
- Glacier and Mt. Revelstoke day trips
Still not sure about time frames for Pacific NW or if it's doable to tack on to the trip. Ideally I'd like to do Cascades Loop, North Cascades NP, Olympic NP and Mt. Rainer.
Any and all advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Reddit fam!
