What was your experience like taking photos at restaurants?

Hi guys! I know there are tons of tips out there as it relates taking solo travel photos. However, as it relates to taking photos while dinning at a restaurant, how do you guys take photos that aren't selfies? Do you ask the waiter/waitress? Do you use a tripod on the table? Do you put the tripod on the chair adjacent to you? Did it feel awkward? I'd like to know what your experience was like. via /r/solotravel https://ift.tt/2XyePAm
