What is the earliest month remaining this year that I should visit Myanmar?
So I'm in the position that my job is likely to be made redundant shortly, and I'm thinking of packing up and travelling SEA for 3mo or so while I consider my next move and maybe apply for jobs from there. From NZ if that's important.I've already thoroughly done Vietnam, and some of south Thailand, and Siem Reap, so I'm planning Laos, the rest of Cambodia, maybe nothern Thailand. But Myanmar is my #1 choice. Ideally I'd go there first, but it sounds like the infrastructure and travel etc are a nightmare if too close to the wet season. And I don't know yet when I'm likely to be redundant/free!I'd mainly like to know which month is the earliest that is it 'worth' going to Myanmar. Even september looks alright for Yangon, but Mandalay looks really wet through October. Since it's my #1 location I'd rather go there first in case I come home earlier than planned, but not if it's going to be unenjoyable.
